Today my sister took me to try a new restaurant – The Mammoth Railway Cafe in Park City.  It’s part of a bed and breakfast – the Grand Victorian Inn.  I have never written a review of a restaurant before, or food, but as I know the owner of the cafe (He was one of my older brother’s best friends in high school and therefore treated me as an annoying little sister), I thought I should share its amazingness with the world!

Our Final Eastern Destination

A Kentucky barn flies past the window as we make our way to our daughter's town. A Kentucky barn flies past the window as we make our way to our daughter’s town.

We finally arrived in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, last Thursday to visit with our daughter Stephanie and her four children. Neither Randy nor I have ever been to Kentucky or Tennessee which we crossed along the way here. This is our final eastern destination before turning around and heading for home.

All I can say is, for a gal from the very brown desert, the green in this area is an emerald feast for the eyes. A WALK IN ANDERSON COUNTY COMMUNITY PARK, LAWRENCEBURG, KENTUCKY

Anderson County Community Park is a great family place located off Highway 127 on the left going South just before you reach Walmart in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. lawrenceburg park - Copy

It is a beautiful park with lots of activities.  The first thing we saw when entering the park was the sign for the Lawrenceburg Disc Golf based in Lawrenceburg where disc golfing enthusiasts enjoy getting together, playing and enjoying experiences. Anderson County Community College9We decided to take the walking trail  since  it was a beautiful day in Kentucky even if it was a little cloudy. The walking trail takes you around the outskirts of the park and we stopped along the way to take pictures. Anderson County Community Park7There is a beautiful fishing lake that has bank access only.  The ducks were very friendly and even had to perform for us since no one was there fishing to interrupt their antics.
