Anderson County Community Park is a great family place located off Highway 127 on the left going South just before you reach Walmart in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.
It is a beautiful park with lots of activities. The first thing we saw when entering the park was the sign for the Lawrenceburg Disc Golf based in Lawrenceburg where disc golfing enthusiasts enjoy getting together, playing and enjoying experiences. We decided to take the walking trail since it was a beautiful day in Kentucky even if it was a little cloudy. The walking trail takes you around the outskirts of the park and we stopped along the way to take pictures.
There is a beautiful fishing lake that has bank access only. The ducks were very friendly and even had to perform for us since no one was there fishing to interrupt their antics.
The park has a baseball field, basketball court, soccer field and a great skate park.
Several shelters and picnic areas and a place to play horseshoes only add to this beautiful little park outside the city of Lawrenceburg. There is also a great playground for little children.
We enjoyed checking out the sculpture below that was donated by Nate Hensley called “Heavenly Grind”.
Visiting this park was a wonderful way to enjoy a lovely afternoon in Kentucky. Thank you Anderson County!
